for procuring, delivering and setting up the drinks for the cookout.
Gonzaga dads also help with setting up chairs, tables, A/V along side the
Visitation Fathers Club dads. Even if you don’t volunteer for this event,
plan on attending with your entire family. Mass, a cookout and a few
competitive games between the girls and the boys!

Father and Sons only, this event was added in 2008 and was extremely
successful. This is a great way to introduce our new Fathers and sons to
service at Gonzaga. The chair of this event lines up a suitable project for
this group to perform.

all Fathers and there Sons. Volunteer dads help man the check in table and
guide dads and sons to the lower commons for a casual pre pep rally
ballgame style buffet dinner. The volunteer dads then guide the fathers and
sons to the theatre for the pep rally and hall of fame induction. This is a long-standing Gonzaga tradition
and major Father/Son event. If you can’t volunteer, make sure you plan on
attending this event.

for prospective students and their families to get information about
Gonzaga and tour the Gonzaga campus. The Gonzaga dads come out
in force to guide prospective families from the parking lots to the Carmody
Center and man posts throughout the school to answer questions.

this raffle. The winners are drawn at the Gala. The dad volunteers start
their work in August getting the proper permits, ordering tickets and
preparing a form letter from the printer. Help is needed stuffing envelopes
for the mass mailing as well as the night of the Gala manning a table for
final ticket sales. Even if you do not volunteer for this event, plan on
attending the Gala!

This is the major fund-raising activity
of the Fathers Club that has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for
Gonzaga service activities. There are numerous volunteer activities for
this Committee starting the summer before the tournament. Plan on attending
the DC Classic planning meetings and learn more.
February 17-19, 2012 - Freshman Retreat

to 12 to supervise the overnight. The Dad volunteers assist the retreat
team in various ways. The dads provide the water and soda for the Friday
evening session. A group of dads chaperone the overnight when the freshmen
and their leaders stay at the school on Saturday night.

morning or just the afternoon. Traditionally we have upwards of 200 fathers
